Country of Origin : New Zealand
New Zealand Scampi is prized for its sweet, delicate flavor and smooth texture—best enjoyed raw as sashimi. The outer shell is quite hard and sharp, so extra care is needed during preparation to avoid cuts. Once you master the shelling technique, you'll be able to fully indulge in its gourmet taste.
Shelling Steps:
Step 1: Remove the Tail Shell Hold both sides of the scampi’s body. Pinch the second segment from the tail end and gently twist. Grip the body firmly with one hand and pull the tail with the other—this will easily release the tail shell.
Step 2: Remove the Head and Internal Organs Hold the head and both sides of the body, gently twist again, and detach the head along with the internal organs.
Step 3: Extract the Meat Press near the head area with your finger—tender meat will naturally slide out.
🥢 Serving Suggestions: Dip the fresh lobster meat in soy sauce, wasabi, lemon juice, or seafood dressing—then enjoy this exquisite treat to the fullest.
