American Wagyu (Black label) is a breed of Japanese Wagyu cattle and US Angus Black cattle. Snake River Farms (SRF), a renowned producer, produces beef that obtain features from both, it carries the delicate marbling of Japanese Wagyu, and the rich meaty flavor of Angus Beef. SRF Wagyu undergoes a grain-feeding process 4 times longer (up to 20 months) than regular cattle, it is fed with high quality barley, durum wheat, and local potatoes, with absolutely no hormones nor animal-by products, resulting in a beef way sweeter, tenderer, and juicier than regular ones
SRF Black Label Wagyu is divided into 3 grades, Black, Silver, and the highest Gold Grade
Gold grade is approximately equivalent to M9~M10 of Australian Wagyu, A4 in terms of Japanese Wagyu
Black grade is approximately equivalent to M6~M8 of Australian Wagyu, A3 in terms of Japanese Wagyu
SRF black label Wagyu sirloin has a flavor and firm texture widely raved, beef experts associates it with the brilliant New York strip steak. Since it's an US Wagyu beef, each steak is covered with deep marbling, it is delicately complex with a slight note of sweetness, providing a unique steak dinning experience.
