Yip Cheong “Shunde Dace Cake” is a specialty food that carries on a century-old culinary craft. Made with fresh dace, it offers a springy texture and rich aroma. Recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage Technique, it stands as a representative of traditional Shunde cuisine.

Suggested Cooking Method:

  1. Fully defrost the dace cake. Place it in the refrigerator overnight or submerge the sealed package in cold water for about 10–15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add the dace cake, and pan-fry gently on both sides until golden brown. Sprinkle with chopped scallions to taste before serving.
